H.P. ZWAR PARK

Public BBQ

A community oval at Preston, home ground of the Preston Bullants, with a sealed path right around the perimeter that keeps walkers out of the mud through winter. There is a playground with swings, a small shelter, water taps and paved access suitable for a wheelchair, and a kiosk that opens on game days. The ground takes both footy and cricket, though it runs dry and hard with visible irrigation ruts. Parts of the park are designated off-leash and it is well used for dog socialising, which is also the main complaint: dogs are frequently off lead outside those areas and have tripped up runners on the perimeter path.

Generally, it is permissible to utilize your own gas BBQ, provided it remains under continuous supervision. However, the usage of Charcoal BBQ's is typically restricted, with the exception of parks equipped with designated charcoal disposal bins.
